This upcoming cold stretch is yet one more example of why "Met. Winter" conflicts with "My Winter" in most years.  Unless of course, Spring is supposed to be *brass monkeys the first month.

 

* English slang - cold enough to freeze the b***s off a brass monkey.

 

Agree.  If you include Dec in winter, you have to include March.  We've had as many snow events in March as Dec over the historical record....the met winter folks would then say you are getting snow in early spring, which is fine

What an absolutely perfect December day.  Cloudy, with cad cold, and drizzle.  I'd take this 100 days a year!  And the promise of Jan cold around the corner, with storms to track.  Sweet!!!  T
