If I subscribe to Robert's site (which is what you're talking about), how does me spamming you benefit me with respect to my investment in his site? Help me connect those dots.

It's simple actually. People visit here for free information. Now they have to filter out the spam to find anything related to the storm itself. They will look elsewhere.

I am in full support of Robert though. Just not the few who follow him and derail here.

Ok. So you're saying that if enough of Robert's friends come on here and muck up the storm threads or pattern threads with spam, it'll make people so frustrated that they'll go find somewhere else to get info...for instance, paying for Robert's site.

Do I finally have that right now?

I am trying to draw the conclusion as to why I was accused of stealing Robert's information. I hate to bring Robert up but it is getting old. Day in and out its the same few. If false accusations can be made I should be able to make some myself.

So what I said was correct then, yes?

And no, just because someone might make a false accusation about you doesn't mean you should do it back. That's silly.

Anyway, for the record, I think you're a bright fellow, but just show a little humility from time to time and I think you'd end up with a lot less spam. That's got more to do with it than anything else, I promise you.

The end.

I take plagiarism seriously as a college student. It sort of offended me that he would say that and get by with it. I will try to show more respect, but I was told to no longer link his facebook anymore here. Therefor, I have no access to his information whatsoever. Not sure why there is still a problem. I am working with them the best I can.

Ok, fair enough. :)

Man Buncombe County again is not suppose to get hardly anything but rain again unless your above 3500 ft.  what a terrible winter this is for everyone else in Buncombe County. :axe:

I have noticed that every time it is a close call for most...Asheville does terrible. But if it is a widespread snowfall/ice they do just fine if not better than Wilkes. Sure seems like the nickle and dime events of recent years favor how far north you are not your elevation. (Minus a few places that lucked out...SC...Charlotte...for one storm...etc.)

That made me laugh aloud grit, because I was thinking the same thing.  I feel bad for fritschy though.

It's nothing that 50 years of getting beat down the same way, year after year, won't cure, lol.  I have a Zen like acceptance the Mole Storm will bring me sleet manna, because I am so shell shocked by winters past, irrational fantasy is all I'm left with :)  It's tasty, and comes with extra sprinkles.  T

I just enjoyed the fact that Robert unfriended you. That just about reaches the level of the old saying, "You could piss off the Pope".

Indeed

either that or you need to read more and post less.

Or does it? Why are they paying for info and lurking here to quote my poor quality posts continuously? Hence why they do not use the ignore feature...much less reading material...etc.

If I use the ignore feature will they still see me?

Nobody is lurking here to quote you   :weenie:

why did they already close schools , do they not usually wait til morning since nothing is on the ground yet?

I'm surprised they closed so early.  I think a 2hour delay is warranted now to give more time in the AM to evaluate the situation before deciding whether or not to roll the buses.

I agree. Delays seems to be the best course of action right now. Seems like that's what some of the other counties are going with. This is too marginal of an event to cancel at this point. Temperatures, timing of precip, amount of precip, type of precip. Too many unknowns. I can see delaying when the NWS has issues a WWA for liability purposes. I think that Forsyth jumped the gun though. Lets see if others follow suit like often happens when a big district makes a decision. I doubt Guilford cancels tonight.

I drive a bus for Buncombe County Schools and we just heard thru the grapevine that starting next year they'll be no 2 hour delay.  That the 2 hour delay there is not much that gets done in the classrooms.  Classes are so short there is not much time to get a whole lot accomplished.  The whole day is messed up.  The schools will either be closed or open and just make up the days.  Now this is what we heard yesterday, whether its true or not, we'll see.

I agree just too marginal.  Now if this were a huge winter storm that was to move in overnight I could see all the school systems closing tonight for tomorrow.

Relax guys, they are just practicing for late next weeks mega, once in a lifetime bombgenesis in the northern gulf that scoots northeast and plasters everyone with 6-12 inches of wind driven snow, followed by single digit March temps.
