Cold Rain
Does anyone else think we should have two banter threads? -One for weather related banter, fantasy snow maps. wishcasting, IMBY questions, weather history, webcasting, met discussions, etc... -and another non-weather related banter thread for all of the sports, food, music, etc... I know Brick would back you 100%. I'd be fine with it. But I am fine with the current way too. But I am also part of the problem.
Stovepipe
I just have no clue what those last two posts he made had to do with our weather and future weather patterns. It's one thing if it's for a storm that will affect the east coast but it seems those updates only had to do with the storm in the midwest. Cold Rain
Mountain Dew yesterday, Krispy Kreme today, I'm worried about your sugar intake so early in the morning.I don't think you are setting a good example for the young people on this forum. I myself like to start off my day with a nice veggie juice blend, a touch of Old Bay seasoning around the rim and a pickle for garnish. Presentation is everything.............. add vodka and stir. That is Absolutly healthier...in the short term. Haha. The Euro is still showing a -NAO in the LR!
franklin NCwx
I say just put all banter in this thread, it seems fine to me. I'm sure Brick will be here soon to add a couple more pages on this topic.
DixieBlizzard
Maybe Wilkes can start his own "weather wisdom from Wilkes County" thread too. It would have all of the awesomeness of things like "if the system is too wet, it can't be cold enough to snow" and "the skies need to heal" and other nuggets of wisdom. Wilkes, it's different when the hate is generated from moronic statements. You are putting yourself out there alright.

weatherheels
Damn. Of all the times I turn down going on a trip. The wife flew into Kansas City on Tuesday and is just flooding me with pictures of an extremely heavy snow. I'm so damn jealous. Oh and VODKA. Yeah...there's a reason that no forum community exists on the internet which houses a limited/restricted "banter" thread. I'll be the first to bet that it cannot be done here especially. There is no way to "banter" only about weather.

Kilgore Trout
Is it really that confusing as it stands right now? One serious thread, one light hearted thread. I certainly don't mind seeing Dacula's aviation posts in the pattern thread. I also don't mind sports/food being up in my banter. Very little time is wasted reading through these threads, at least for me. Not seeing the big deal personally. This. Unless we are in super blizzard mode, I don't see the problem with allowing banter to include non-weather posts and the pattern thread having the occasional weather banter in it. There hasn't been a whole lot to talk about weather wise anyway this winter, and allowing all the extra discussion allows people to get to know each other better (for better or worse). Jon
Folks, let's keep this to weather banter please. Thanks. This argument has been made before...banter is banter. I open this thread to see what people are talking **** about, weather or not...I escape the disco threads when they're absolutely ridiculous and full of watching model runs for flurries to 0.10" of ice to rain changeover. If I had to come in here to see more weather banter I might really jump off a cliff.
