Says the UNC fan who can't take a little good-natured ribbing.  :P

OK, how about this to make this post weather-related?

Duke came out slow last night in the first half, as if they were playing in mud caused by a heavy rainstorm.  They couldn't even hold onto the ball and turnovers were quite common due to the slippery conditions.  But, Coach K lit a fire under them at halftime, and they responded by raining several crucial treys in the final 10 minutes of the game.  The lightning fast speed of Quinn Cook, as he led the comeback, was too much for freshman Marcus Paige to handle.  The Cameron Crazies finally erupted in thunderous applause to celebrate another Duke victory over UNC, this time on Coach K's birthday.

:devilsmiley::lol:

(I'll stop now.  I promise.  Back to your regularly scheduled programming.)

Lol, well done! T

(1) Weather banter is general discussion about the weather, models, pattern, etc. That's why it was created last winter. As far as other banter, that's why there is an off-topic forum. (2) But I am done going aorund in circles about this. I know why it was created last winter because my posts were a big reason why it was done, for people who just wanted to make a general comment about the weather that would just get deleted in the other threads. If the powers that be just want to let this be a free-for-all thread about anything, then that's the way it is.

Okay - so....

(1) I've yet to find a forum in which "banter" was actually restricted to one topic.  The reason your posts keep getting deleted from discussion threads is because they all read the same way and simply repeat something you've heard or read - and let's not forget the recent examples of your posts all stating the exact same information (opinions really) within a ridiculously short time frame.  It would be wise for forum administrators to make the judgement based on how most of the contributors are *actually using it.  Having a "banter" thread that is only for one topic is NOT a banter thread.  Period.  Regardless of why it was created back whenever, a healthy forum community evolves.  There's a reason that website owners follow the cardinal rule of updating - people stop visiting sites that stay cemented in something that never changes.

(2) This?  This is what you decide to stop going around in circles about (see number 1)?  And secondarily, you seem to be the most vocal complainer about it.  It appears to work just fine for 98% of us that actually "banter" in a banter thread.

And you decide to keep it going.
