I'd imagine he's perfectly happy with most of the OT talk being put in the banter thread and kept out of the obs and analysis threads without the need for mod intervention. Weather banter is general discussion about the weather, models, pattern, etc. That's why it was created last winter. As far as other banter, that's why there is an off-topic forum. But I am done going aorund in circles about this. I know why it was created last winter because my posts were a big reason why it was done, for people who just wanted to make a general comment about the weather that would just get deleted in the other threads.
