About to drive back to ORH...but here in Natick right now, we have very large puffy flakes, almost like large cotton balls. Its a great winter scene. About an inch of snow it looks like.

Just great "ambiance snow" here in Randolph as well. That little band over us has been quite persistent. If we are gonna run a whiff, this is the way to do it, today has been more fun to watch than expected.

Its the little things like this we've got to enjoy this winter. 23 deg, huge flakes, light snow falling, no wind. It feels like those little upslope snows you squeeze out with the weakest of shortwaves in the mtns. I think I will take a walk through the woods to the frozen pond in a bit.

Deep Winter, haha.

Gotta take what you can get!

Ok, can someone explain what this system did, and is doing? We've had events like this before (that seems to be unpredicted and never ending). It's nice to look at and all but if you manage snow for a living you could have thrown out the rule book today. It has not stopped yet on the east side of town, and started this afternoon on the west side to already put down an inch of fluff.

Also, I see a batch of precip out over central NY headed east yet none of the forecasts include snow early in the morning. What is the concensus on it making it to Worcester or the MetroWest?

Beats me. We had 850mb inflow which is what I was looking at with the OES that underperformed. Everything else?
