The lack of winter the past two years has truly shifted perspectives...there's barely a dusting in that photo. We have maybe 0.5" in Dobbs Ferry, and the radar shows the heavier echoes sliding SE of us. I agree that it's nice to see snow, but I'm getting a little bored with these dusting events.

Remember when we had real snow in 10-11 and 09-10?

A sociological astute observation!

I remember when energy diving to the NC coast and spawning tstorms which provided juice for bombogenisis was a ticket to ride, now it's a swim to get on the boat.

It's kind of sad really.  It's not even worth looking at most of these events until it's within radar range.

Light dusting here, roads and everything covered.

Glad you're getting snow Joe.

Up to a heavier dusting now, probably about .1 or .2" if I measured after a few hours of snow.  HRRR having none of the back down snow crap from the trough/OES but we'll see Sunday.

GGEM has a light system on 2/6 with coastal brush again, 2/8 and 2/11 are warm.  2/8 cuts across NNE or SE Canada, 2/11-12 is another epic cutter.  GEFS with the 2/12ish cutter, but not the earlier one.

Euro has no hint of the OES type snows.  It's also shifted SE again, although I can't see the super detailed QPF it's clearly cut back quite a bit from the 12z.  Non-storm essentially in SNE...hopeful the OES can do something Sunday but the NCEP stuff will likely pull that away later.

Mixing?
