Some of the SE folks bought off on the big snows for the coast..and I think that's where some of this upsetedness is coming from

I was a consumer of the possibilities as well. What I think we end up with is a snowy week, nothing epic of course, but someone will probably score a decent amount in a weenie band. Good news is it's going to snow almost every day next week......

Hopefully the precip shield the Euro is showing can expand a little to the North and East....as is, Sunday does look like a winter day for most of us.....

I don't think anyone did. I certainly didn't.

Last winter couldn't even ice over the puddles after a rain storm. No way.

It's a little more frustrating around here locally, but in terms of overall conditions..yeah last winter was worse when taking into account snow and ice.

I know people will throw around the "hey any snow is better than no snow" card,  but 1-2" that sublimates in two days is getting tiresome. JMHO, I know others may cherish and cradle it.

I will say it again, This winter is as bad as last winter, Just doing it differently but the same results, May not even be able to nickel and dime to last years totals and those were well below normal

You did enjoy the 12/27 event though, didn't you? How about the Christmas day miracle? I was fortunate enough to be up in your neighborhood for those 2.....so, you win the event of the winter contest, right there.....

1-2" of snow has no use other then being a nuisance

I know. It sucks especially for you guys and winter sports......tough couple of years....

Yes, That's how i gauge winter by the seat time on my sled, Last year 200 mile, This year, 200 miles, Sure i can travel into the mountains and find snow to ride on, But i gauge a decent winter from riding out my door, It is a short season, A 2 month window basically, (Jan, Feb) And when you lose even a week, Its something you can't get back

Wow, dude....never seen you lose it before....that mild demeanor of your's has gone "poof" faster than a winter '13 threat.

Eh, I tried talking sense in the long range thread started, but it's comical now as far as threats go. Nothing of importance will happen in this pattern. Everything is too fast and too far south.

Because its been a long dark winter with little to show for it. Remember, WE didn't get the October 2011 and even sandy was on the meh side. It's blown dead rats out the wazoo.

Perhaps folks should do as Tip says he does, he doesn't get emotionally invested and bides the time playing intense games of disc golf with friends
