Clinch Leatherwood
Dusting may be optimistic. Euro wide right. 2/6 looks the same, that'll probably fade too. Gfs is mainly misses aside of the cutters as the pattern gradually changes. I can't wait for Morch and judging from the lack of posts most of you probably feel the same way. Clinch Leatherwood
Yup. Like you said, Groundhog Day... When you look at the euro day 5 it's pretty much what the Sunday system looked like 24 hours ago. Some moisture back west of the low with the low out to sea. I have almost no hope until we get rid of the chutes and ladders straight out of south central Canada with no blocking. There isn't enough room for the systems to dig in time and with no blocking at all they get shot out under before they have any time to develop. The models may continue to tease us, but nothing meaningful is going to happen more than likely. We can always get lucky and all of these systems have to be watched closely but yuck. Tropopause_Fold
hope to still be able to grab a few inches...consensus would be 2-4 out here as long as things hold. tough call though as a few more ticks SE and it's too far east

moneypitmike
I said the snow that was coming in yesterday/last evening (about an 1") would likely be more than Sunday. I stand by that statement, though I suppose it might be close. Either way, remember every inch counts toward your seasonal total, just not as exciting as getting them in bunches. 20.8/

WeatherX
Just want to stick a needle in the eye in frustration. However, it does look like there will be flakes in the air for most of next week.....so we'll do glass half full.

HIPPYVALLEY
I wouldn't worry about SR, Chris. Where are you staying up there? Yeah, there will be plenty of terrain as long as we don't get into any extended tropical torching but I'm sure they could all use a signifigant refresher snow. Staying at the Grand Summit hotel in a condo. Got a great combo deal through my in-laws who are meeting us there from Nova Scotia.
Damage In Tolland
Lol, ya'll give up so easy. If you keep expectations fairly low you won't do a suicide post every time the models swing back toward a less interesting solution, this system should give most everyone accumulating snow. I just read the lat 10 posts and it's pretty sad. We've all go 1-3 or maybe 2-4 and that's not good enough.
moneypitmike
Agree. Hopefully early spring I was lulled into that thinking for about five minutes yesterday when I had gone outside and was standing on grass. Then, it started snowing and I remembered that spring brings out mosquitoes and other horrible things and I quickly regained my senses. Long live winter--even if it has little snow. 20.3/
