.. High wind watch in effect from Wednesday evening through

Thursday morning...

The National Weather Service in Taunton has issued a high wind

watch... which is in effect from Wednesday evening through

Thursday morning.

* Winds... south-southwest 20 to 30 mph with gusts up to 60 mph.

* Timing... Wednesday evening through Thursday morning.

* Impacts... anticipated strong to damaging winds could bring down

trees... tree limbs... and power lines. In addition... unsecured

outdoor objects may become damaged and/or airborne. Hazards will

be possible for motorists and pedestrians... as well as to

structures.

Precautionary/preparedness actions...

A high wind watch means the potential exists for strong damaging

winds to develop in the mentioned areas. These strong winds are

capable of Downing trees and power lines as well as causing

property damage. If a High Wind Warning is issued... stay inside

and away from windows.

rain

36

Was just thinking about how unlucky we have been, following a week of arctic cold and impressive departures the best we can do is a light mix event yesterday and now a cutter.  Storm Clean Slate has begun, hopefully some fun times lie ahead over the next couple weeks.

Wednesday Night

Rain. Areas of fog. Not as cold with lows in the upper 40s. South winds 10 to 15 mph with gusts up to 35 mph... increasing to 15 to 25 mph with gusts up to 60 mph after midnight. Chance of rain near 100 percent.

My body is ready.

It's going to pound out there tomorrow morning. GFS and NAM are in agreement on a LLJ approaching +6 SD at both H8 and H9, sweeping right across eastern MA into coastal NNE. Just check out the NAM Bufkit at ACK.

That's hurricane force sustained down to 970ish. Inversion won't really matter at that point, especially near the front as things start to go more isothermal. That isn't even considering convective elements either.
