OceanStWx
NAM tends to over do SE-S LLJ It will be interesting to see how it plays out. The NAM soundings are actually more conservative verses the GFS. Just took a peak at the HRRR, it maxes out the color shading at 850 mb for winds, but 10 m gust product is pretty poor relative to the going forecasts. Gusts "only" 40-45 knots. It does pop some 55 to 60 knots behind the front in western parts of the Northeast though.

Professional Lurker
No wind here yet. ...just the sound of dripping water. Surprised at my still mostly intact snowpack when I got home from work about a half hour ago. Stupid fog though.

weatherwiz
Pretty crazy to see about +13C temps at 925/850 here this time of year. Also, there is a pocket of ~250 J/KG of MUcape along with KI values in the mid-30's. So thunder is certainly possible within that line.
weatherMA
Wind gusting to 2mph with a temp of 35.6F at Plymouth State. Riveting stuff.

weatherwiz
There were a few lightning strikes to our SW and some stations reporting thunder but if that continues I wonder what the chances of seeing SVR's being hoisted. Perhaps they may SPS them but certainly have to keep an eye out for these embedded areas of convection.
