kurtstack
I'm thrilled with the 18z GFS and several models showing potential for this period for a long time. We may still whiff on both of these, but this week is looking great right now.
TUweathermanDD
Not likely, thank Monday's storm. When I cut inland, I mean like over s delmarva, which could make it too warm. Idk I like where we are only 5 days out.
Bob Chill
Welcome to the club bud. This is it. I'm normally pessimistic, but I'm down for next week. This is our chance. I'm switching to you and WinterWxLvr's team. First round draft pick. Welcome to the team. Losing streak OVER!
mitchnick
PD3 is just strange looking and then truncation makes it weirder..is it normal to get a 980mb low over center city Philadelphia? low pressure over Philly makes more sense than high pressure
Bob Chill
When I cut inland, I mean like over s delmarva, which could make it too warm. Idk I like where we are only 5 days out. It would need to close off early in the game and confluence to relax. IMO the risk is a fish. I'm still waiting for Wes to join in. I'm dying here. kurtstack
the first event looks interesting.. the second one is total fantasy still and looks weird. Those trofs from pole to gulf are very rare, but they do produce monster storms when they happen that tend to move NNE and everybody just west of the low track gets crushed. Probably not likely, but I'd be interested to see if it could happen. It's been a REALLY long time since I've seen one of those.
Bob Chill
this run looks better/more believable than 12z. with the 12z 500 low closing so far west and being so far north not sure how we'd get a good snow.. not to mention the storm forming near the coast and heading for the lakes. 12z was a family sized bag of wtf. I've seen some weird 5H evolutions but popping a ull bowling ball in the dakotas and proceeding to do the vort merry go round of snow chances can't even be programmed on purpose. I think the gfs got hacked.

Scarlet Pimpernel
better at 111 EDIT: colder than 18z Good. Despite the nice path and how it looked in earlier runs, the 850 and boundary layer temps looked kinda iffy if I recall correctly before.

Bob Chill
Gfs loves this one. With the track at 500 and 850 I'm not concerned about temps at all for most of us. It's a snowstorm
