Rain and 33 at PHL now.

I will raise you 54 in Farmingdale with light snow . ( broken ) .. yeh when they go . they will roll east quick ,

The mid `20 readings a bit further north is where I smell rain later just under freezing for a bit .

Starting to think that the threat of freezing rain is lessening. Should be a pretty quick switch over from snow to plain rain once the change over arrives. Still holding at 28 degress for the time being. Up 2 degress since 7:00 AM.

The whole island...LGA, JFK, ISP, FOK, MTP... is 30-32 now.  This includes mesonet stations:

When the warm air moves in aloft, it'll go to rain at the surface lickity split.

That observation I had was from the NWS site, actually has changed over now to 23 degress and light freezing rain as we speak

Mid levels are warming and radar is not that impressive. We shall see how the frz rain pans out, but surface is not to ideal for moderate ice

I'd say Upton made a great call, this is primed to not produce any ice (where there are no advisories)

Thanks, not sure what the snow tally was yet (dad won't be home for an hour or so) but I'm sure it was well under an inch.

Looks like this area has one decent band inbound and that'll do it. Nice dusting+ so far which is certainly better than nothing.

There is another nice banding coming in from NE PA right behind this next one. Check the radar out of KDIX instead of Upton.
