Not getting out of the hole until the end ,30 in AC with Light Snow .Frozx precip will outperform today

It is definitely outperforming here, I can tell you that.  I really did not expect to see any moderate or even heavy snow today, let alone for an hour now.  Very surprising.

Binghamton is reporting 22 degress and moderate snow.

At the time he asked, the big echoes were just SW of BGM, and as the CC image suggests, it was still snow at BGM.  I guarantee you that will change momentarily if it hasn't already.

r/s line with more of a west to east orientation this time...tik this is throwing some people off

In western NJ, the snow/non-snow line is actually oriented almost due north/south and will be moving west to east shortly.  Rather unusual.

Check out AVP in PA, they are up to 42F...not sure if thats some sort of elevated warm layer hitting them since they are higher elevation

Looks like a busted thermometer like FRG... no one around there is close, even on the Mesonet...

I don't think they have a contract observer there so if the ATC even noticed, they might not really care.  ASOS augmentation leaves a fair amount to be desired.  What they are "supposed" to do and what actually gets done reliably are two different things.
