Here's a good description of the difference b/t ice fog on freezing fog. Been sitting in the 32.2 to 32.6 range for over 3 hours now, with periods of light rain and drizzle. Just shows how close this was to being an icy afternoon (and probably also evening rush hour). Hey Paul, thanks for your obs...been following them from afar during my drive back today from New Haven CT. Roads weren't bad until I got within 3 miles of home. It's amzing how fast temps rise and then stop dead. I was 21 yesterday morning when the precipitation started at about 6:00AM. Then, by noon, it was up to 33 and hasn't budged since then.
