How did Chicago do today? It looks like there were some good bands over the area.

Yeah, there were some periods of decent snowfall, but the ground was warm from yesterday and the snow didn't accumulate very well.  I'm in the W suburbs and got around 0.5", and Geos in the N suburbs got 0.9",  So, I'd guess ORD ended up in between.

Yeah I've been gone all evening and came home expecting lots of posts from Chicagoland.  Must be model fatigue lol.

0.9" here Blackrock & Cyclone! Not sure if I can make it to an inch with these backlash showers.

Milwaukee put out a map that makes sense for the most part, but the SE corner is wrong.

Haha. I can imagine it being tiresome. I'm surprised you guys weren't able to get more, but the warm temps holding it down makes sense. Truly rough winter for you guys.

I am up to about an inch on the ground...snowing nicely. I wish I could attribute it completely to the system, but I'm not sure how much is lake-involved.

Wasn't the lake's fault this time though. The models had the low too far south!

I think the highest snowfall reports from the LOT cwa were between 3-3.5" west of I-39 past Rockford.

super wet and warm surfaces plus mixing will do that. didn't even accumulate period on paved surfaces

The LOT radar weenie vision as you termed it was in full effect yesterday. If the reflectivity it was showing was actually happening we would've been talking at least .5" to 1" per hour rates as the band pushed across. Even with the radar on steroids, ORD picked up a quick 0.3" inches with that first band right after changeover.

This just proves what I said the other day to a co-worker when we had the ice. "It is not me I am worried about on the road, it is the other idiots on the road I worry about."  It is sad to see that 4 lost their lives on I-75 this morning though, a terrible tragedy.

LOL at the idiot blaming meteorologists for the weather

ISP stated that large I-70 accident occurred due to people following too closely and traveling too fast for the road conditions.

And I observed the same on I65 south of Indianapolis today.

Slideoffs and PI accidents continue for the Johnson Co./ I65 area at this time. The last half inch or so burst that came through at sunset really did a number on our roads.

Today was the epitome of the term mood flakes here in Northeast IN. A perfect day for people who just like to see it snow. I would estimate that it was snowing about 65% of the day and is continuing into the evening. However, to people who like snow cover (Josh), it sucked. I began the day with a half an inch and ended with the same. I can't remember it snowing for such an extended period of time and gaining no depth.
