Took a few pictures a few minutes ago.

 

This tree branch looks sad because of the weight of the snow.

I finished with about 6 inches of snow.

 

I melted down the snow that fell into the 4" diameter rain gauge and got 0.42" liquid.  Then I melted down a core sample and got 0.61".  Yikes.  I was hoping the difference wouldn't be so big.  Maybe the gauge missed some of the snow due to wind and maybe the core-sample snow sucked up some rain water from the grass.

Accumulating snow still coming down, decent bands keep developing just to the west. Temp of 23.5 F so ratios are getting quite high, even light reflectivity is dumping snow.
