That line west of Harrisburg must not be the squall line mentioned in the NWS updates. The timing mentioned in the update of the Wind Advisory still says 9 PM - 2 AM, so they must be expecting something else to come through later.

I think that is possible....i know down south spc mentioned new watches could be needed in areas where currently expiring

i can't see anything forming later that would be stronger than the initial line. Currently pouring in Ephrata and we had one gust maybe to 30.

The stuff in SW VA probably goes towards Philly later.  Most mesomodels are lifting this shield of precip NE as the front marches east.

So far my high is 54°, the present temp. I was right at the Cape May beach before and after lunch and it was foggy, windy(15-25mph?) with a little sun peaking through the overcast. Nasty! At home now, 1.5 miles north, no fog, no sun. Peak gust 38mph, 3:05pm. Not been a plesant day in the Cape May area.

Heard on NWR that Wilmington, DE set a record high today.  I believe it was 70F.

You can trace the history of the wind field across the past hours in Central Pennsylvania where there have been amazing pressure falls in a short time. Add the low which is bombing and the air mixing closer to the surface, and I think you are on the doorstep of some major winds.

In any event, glad this event is at night, with less people on the road.

I think you'll wake up to the havoc winds to come are going to be responsible for.

Crazy Winter.....
