The setup for severe wind must not have been as impressive as progged, because that line in SC and NErn GA looks pretty stout, and I don't see many reports on the SPC page. Maybe they haven't come in yet, or maybe it's just not going to be a widespread wind event.

Cantore did mention that the areas of the line that don't have a good bow look are generally gonna be rain.  Buckeye, see those kinks around Saluda Edgefield?  I think those are coming our way here soon.  May be a bit more wind than other areas.

Just need the campus down here to delay now...Wilkes campus is prone to flooding too...with enhanced moisture flow off the Brushy Mountains.

Wilkes Community College Ashe Campus will open at 10 A.M. on Thursday, January 31. Check for updates should conditions worsen.

Yeah, I remember it flooding several times when I was up at ASU for grad school.  I love that town and the location in general, but there are a lot of creeks that run through the town.  Flooding can be a problem quite often up there.

It sure is along River St and going towards Blowing Rock from Boone. Mike Maze from WRAL shared a tweet that said there were four water rescuses in Boone in one hour.

I'm not betting on a bow echo for mby, I'll be lucky to get some rain  , but a friend in Saluda(at the fire dept) said those winds with that echo meant business.

The most impressive winds I have seen in my area in awhile. Several limbs down and our trampoline went airborne over 60 feet and is now destroyed. Wondering what people are seeing with that line going threw Winston-Salem and area around it? I would have to estimate gusts around 50mph several times.
