Thunder Road
Cell H6, down by Byronville, may be the next one to watch. Not too spectacular-looking yet, but it's fairly isolated out ahead of the line, and it will be heading into populated areas around Macon and Werner-Robbins AFB. Shawn
why would anyone want to be in it? Nuts Beacuse everytime we have a chance at snow or severe weather it skips over the Lexington area that I'm at. It's like a cursed land. It's been a very long time since I've seen anything much. The last time was Aug 16th 1994. 2 Twisters hit in Lexington where I was out there.. but was too young to understand. I don't hope for any injuries etc, but yeah. DixieBlizzard
Greg, It is good to hear you and your family are ok though sad what happened nearby, of course. Wow! In Dunwoody, I had a quick thunderstorm at 2:30 PM-2:45 PM that produced very heavy rains and gusty winds. Heard only a few rumbles of thunder. Not too bad..which is fine as I didn't want any tornadoes too close. Thanks Larry. The pucker factor was certainly on the high side. I would have loved to have some of that "boring" weather that Shawn complained about. I bet there is a couple of thousand folks around here that would love them some boring right now. DixieBlizzard
Thanks Don. We have one family coming over tonight (tree through the house). I have a feeling we may have more before its over. Thankfully, we were blessed with a house big enough to handle it so the more the merrier!
