Looks like my 33" estimate was almost correct... according to the University of Waterloo they recorded 36.7"/3.05'. So I looked it up...and Feb 2013 was the first time on record Detroit saw a calendar month with 7 calendar days of 2"+ snowfall! Five previous occurences have seen 6 calendar days with 2"+ snowfall, Jan 1978, Jan 1987, Jan 1999, Feb 2010, Feb 2011. Several more have seen 5 days.
