My parents will be gone - (week long trip to visit family friends in NC). I'm having my dad leave the insurance policy #'s with me...

This is just the scenario that WOULD happen to me - tree falls on house when nobody is around to help me with it lol. So book massive severe weather for Saturday localized over Colesville, MD

I'm going to assume that is your official call.

This type of weather upcoming is definitely when we do get our derecho's. Not saying it will happen but I certainly would not dismiss it.

I like Saturday for scattered garden variety/strong storms, but shear is weak and probably won't support a more widespread severe event for our area.

The SPC removes all of LWX from slight risk chances.  So our heat wave will end with pedestrian showers...truly this place is a ****hole for weather.

A meh-worthy See Text for the region today. Fairly conditional. Hi-res pops some activity up this afternoon behind this morning's mess, but it doesn't look terribly exciting from a severe perspective. Could at least get some lightning out of it, so I'll take it.

Watch for the rogue tornado warning in northeastern MD.
