Patrick-02540
Dust is falling here in Woods Hole. And alas, the nice little band over the Elizabeth Islands dries up just as it hits us. What can go wrong, is going wrong.

ORH_wxman
Even a little steady snow can make the mood better....all the older snowpack showing through whats left of the sublimented inch or so from the other day is all freshened up and the big crust piles/snow banks....feels like winter with steady snow and temp down to 12.6F. Roads are all totally covered. Take what we can in the current dryness.

Ginx snewx
Hi res vertically integrated liquid radar is an interesting product. Eastern LI getting some good rates right now and that seems to be expanding NE a bit. Would not be surprised if CC south shore shares in LI's bounty a bit. Here's how low our standards for excitement have gotten: I wonder if we reach 7.5" for season at KBOS (currently 7.4)?
joey2002
The ratio of this snow must be like 30:1... it's so incredibly dry.
ORH_wxman
The ratio of this snow must be like 30:1... it's so incredibly dry. Doubt it. Snow growth is pretty awful. The first few tenths might be pretty high ratio, but these types of flakes have no ability to stand on eachother, so once it gets over a half inch or so or an inch, it compresses quickly. ORH_wxman
Its the type of snow where I might get 0.3" from 0.01 but only 1" from 0.08" or something.
