7 PM UPDATE...

DRY AIR IN THE FORM OF SUBZERO DEW PTS GOING TO TOWN ON DRYING UP

SNOW BEFORE REACHING THE GROUND. AS OF 7 PM LEADING EDGE OF THE

SNOW WAS ACROSS THE BERKSHIRES INTO WESTERN CT WITH PSF/DXR AND KBDR

REPORTING SNOW. WHILE ITS SNOWING ALOFT ACROSS MUCH OF CT AND

WESTERN MA AT 7 PM...LATEST GUIDANCE SUGGEST NORTHERN AND

NORTHEAST SHIELD OF THE SNOW WILL ERODE BEFORE REACHING SOUTHEAST

NH AND NORTHEAST MA INCLUDING THE CITY OF BOSTON. THUS COULD BE A

SHUTOUT FOR THESE AREAS AS COLUMN STRUGGLES TO SATURATE AND BY

THAT TIME BEST FORCING FOR ASCENT ALONG WITH MID LEVEL MOISTURE IS

MOVING OFFSHORE AFTER 06Z.

THEREFORE BEST CHANCE OF SEEING ANY FLAKES WILL BE ACROSS CT...RI

AND SOUTH OF THE MA PIKE. GREATEST RISK OF LIGHT ACCUMULATIONS...

COATING TO AN INCH WOULD BE ALONG THE SOUTH COAST OF MA/RI

INCLUDING CAPE COD AND THE ISLANDS. 15Z SREF POPS OF 1 INCH OF

SNOW REFLECT THIS VERY WELL.

AS A RESULT HAVE LOWERED POPS NORTH OF THE MA PIKE INTO SOUTHWEST

NH. OTHERWISE PREVIOUS FORECAST ON TRACK.

About a 1/4 inch accumulation on sidewalks and grass. Roads have been treated with ice melt so they are just wet at this point. Noticed all the roads were covered in those little white rocks before the snow hit that got ground up by the traffic, but it seems to work.

Your town is a different world compared to the rest of sw ct.
