WilkesboroDude
Don't live right on the Elkin line? I don't live too far from the Rock Creek Golf Course...much deeper into north-central part of Wilkes. Light dusting of accumulation... Interestingly enough...the flakes are not as wimpy as I thought they would be. A little clumpy and more steady than radar suggests.
gr8fuldawg95
0800 Moderate ZR west of ATH. Roads are still OK, but cars pulled over on the side of the road scraping windshields.

Cold Rain
Good luck Wish I was back home...I hope to get some ZR/IP out of this, I'm only a county away from the rain line so we'll see. 23.9/11.1 I bet you will get some ice this time. Late next week, maybe we can all cash in...in a big way.
WilkesboroDude
Brisk wind is making the flakes pour down here... I could see 1-3+ here coming...if no change over occurs to sleet like suggested.

burrel2
27.7 here in Clemson, SC with a light glaze of ice and a few sleet pellets. The roads were seemingly just wet, but I'd imagine they are iced over in certain places.

Carvers Gap
Freezing rain here in Kingsport. Things are glazed over. Streets are beginning to get slick. Sidewalk and driveway are done. It is pretty much a mess, but it's winter the way we like it - frozen.

kvegas-wx
Moderate sleet in K-Vegas! Truck hood almost covered. So much for the virga I suppose. This has to be the driest frozen precip I've ever experienced. Lol.
kvegas-wx
Milky sunshine sneaking through the clouds. It won't last long. That same break went through here very early this morning. I could see it off to the east at the bus stop. Heavier cloud deck coming quickly.
burgertime
sleet came down in CLT...stuck to the streets immediately. My co worker and I went to Starbucks it's not too bad out there....but this afternoon it could be a mess if this is any indication of what will happen with the streets. superjames1992
I'm waking up to snow flurries here in NE High Point! I'm very surprised those returns are reaching the ground. I remember some mets talking yesterday about how you can sometimes get some precip way out ahead of the system with these sorts of events, though. SnowDeac
Radar returns to the SW look very unimpressive. While to the N and E of the metro, they seem to be building. I expect RDU to do much better in the precip department. Although I guess that's not really going out on a limb.
kvegas-wx
If I knew how to load a pic I would. Everything now covered here in K-Vegas around Walkertown. Street, driveway all dusted. Fairly heavy snow!
calculus1
Schools decided to release earlier than the original time of 10 AM in Catawba County. They let out at 8:45. Met my daughter at the bus in the midst of a heavy sleet/snow shower. Roads definitely have frozen stuff on them. You can see the tracks through the white where the cars travel. I hope all those buses make it safely to their destinations. Current conditions: 23.6 F over 14 F DP with moderate sleet falling. I can now skate on my back deck!
