WidreMann
Sleet ending here. Good coating on the ground. We had enough ZR to amount to maybe .1" or a little more. Roads are covered, but slushy where driven on. I'm sure that'll change once the clouds clear tonight.

superjames1992
Looks like a little backbuilding on radar?? It's still sleeting lightly here back in the Triad, in fact.
RevDodd
Report of a 10-car wreck on I-295 north of Faynam. Never a dull moment.
WidreMann
Some blurps are forming on the radar behind the main behind. Will be interesting to see if they are sleet or ZR.
Brick Tamland
Looks like a little backbuilding on radar?? It's not over yet. Sleet ending here. Good coating on the ground. We had enough ZR to amount to maybe .1" or a little more. Roads are covered, but slushy where driven on. I'm sure that'll change once the clouds clear tonight. Roads will be even worse tonight and in the morning.

Cold Rain
I live at the arrow and the precip back to the west moving east should keep this area under the gun for another hour or two. Plus, as I said earlier, it looks like the western edge is filling in.
NCBlizzard
Received .13" of precip. It was about 60% ZR and 40% IP. Everything is glazed over including some of the trees. Temperature is steady now at about 26.

AJF0602
It's getting really slick here in Greenville, NC... multiple wrecks reported by highway patrol.. this looks like more ice than we were expected to get. Already have 2-3 inch icicles on our apartment building at North Campus.

RevDodd
Hmmm: Bridges in Hope Mills are impassible, due to ice. That cuts off two major commuter links in Faynam...
RevDodd
Yadkin Road, the main south entry into Fort Bragg is closed due to icing overpasses.
RevDodd
Precip fell more as ZR down that way, less sleet. Folks who got sleet, count your blessings! BTW, reports that I-95 from Dunn to south of Faynam are "a zoo."
metalicwx366
Sleeting like crazy here. The ground and road is covered, looks like snow, but it's all ice. 2013-01-25_15-53-42_302.jpg Nice. How much have you seen?

WidreMann
Light sleet resuming here. Roads still covered, but slushy. Not much if any melting. It's going to be a skating rink later on tonight.
Cold Rain
Bitmap? Really? What is this, 1996? Haha! I know, right? I don't have any idea how to edit stuff other than using Paint, so that's why I usually don't do it. Of course, it saved it as a BMP and I didn't catch it in time. But I fixed it now. Anyway, I still have a flip phone with one of those little antennas on it, so a bitmap is not too far off the ranch for me.
beanskip
Just drove from Gastonia to Shelby on I-85/US74-- roads were a little slick, but driveable. I didn't see any wrecks or people who had slid off the road. There has only been one wreck reported in Shelby. Overall, just a nuisance event. Roads are starting to dry -- I wouldn't expect many problems in the AM.

It's free and let's you do some fancier editing stuff without all the difficulty (and price) of Photoshop.

griteater
How much did Charlotte see? It was a sleet/freezing rain mix here. Very light accumulation of sleet / light amount of ice accretion. Not much precip overall, but I'm sure a lot of wrecks out there
