Yeah, this thing is really making a run for it.  It appears that the timeframe really moved up.  I was thinking we were looking at 3-8 PM or so this morning, but now the whole thing has been shifted around three hours earlier or so.

 

It's probably a good thing, though, as at least there's still daylight out there and sun coming through the clouds, which wouldn't be the case tonight.

It normally takes me 25 minutes to get home from work this time of day (From Winston to Kernersville). It took me over an hour. Traffic between Silas Creek pkwy and 158 was pretty much 5-10mph the whole way.

 

There is more freeing rain than there is sleet here. Haven't seen any more snow since this morning.

As everybody else has stated (for the RDU area) it is sleet and freezing rain. This will be close to winter storm or ice storm criteria. I think all we need is >.25 liquid.

 

Only thing saving us from disaster is how fast it's moving, it's hauling, should be through our area by 5pm.
