temps have risen from 66 at sunset to 71, 60 dewpoint.  Winds have been moderate to strong since about 5pm, really howling at times the last few hours.

END TIME: 4:17 AM EST

BEGIN POINT: 3.25 MILES EAST OF ELIZABETH, INDIANA

END POINT: 3.56 MILES EAST OF ELIZABETH, INDIANA

EF SCALE: EF-0

WIND SPEED: 80MPH

PATH LENGTH: 0.4 MILES

PATH WIDTH: 200 YARDS

NARRATIVE: AN NWS SURVEY TEAM HAS CONFIRMED AN EF-0 TORNADO TOUCH DOWN EAST OF ELIZABETH IN HARRISON COUNTY, INDIANA. THREE TO FOUR HOMES AND TWO BARNS WERE DAMAGED ALONG HIGHWAY 111. THE PORCH OF ONE HOME WAS LIFTED AND THROWN 25-30 FT. THE WALLS OF ONE OF THE BARNS COLLAPSED IN MULTIPLE DIRECTIONS. TREES WERE DOWN IN THIS LOCATION AS WELL. THE TRACK OF THE TORNADO EXTENDED EAST TO THE OHIO RIVER. NWS SURVEY TEAMS WILL SURVEY IN WESTERN JEFFERSON COUNTY, KENTUCKY LATER TODAY OR TOMORROW TO SEE IF DAMAGE OCCURRED ON THE KENTUCKY SIDE OF THE OHIO RIVER.

WIND SPEED: 80-85MPH

PATH LENGTH: 100 YARDS

PATH WIDTH: 50 YARDS

INJURIES: 2 MINOR INJURIES

NARRATIVE: AN NWS SURVEY TEAM HAS CONFIRMED AN EF-0 TORNADO TOUCHED DOWN SOUTHWEST OF BRADFORDSVILLE IN MARION COUNTY, KENTUCKY. THIS TORNADO DID DAMAGE ALONG CALVARY ROAD WHERE A MOBILE HOME WAS DESTROYED AND A SMALL SHED SLID OFF ITS FOUNDATION. 2 MINOR INJURIES OCCURRED WITH THIS TORNADO. THE NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE WANTS TO THANK MARION COUNTY EMERGENCY MANAGEMENT FOR THEIR ASSISTANCE WITH OUR STORM DAMAGE ASSESSMENT.

Folks...we have coordinated throughout the morning with emergency personnel in Greene County and IDHS, and all indications are that damage in Solsberry in the northeast part of the county is the result of straight-line winds. Our office has no plans to survey at this time.

THE FOLLOWING IS THE PRELIMINARY DAMAGE ASSESSMENT FOR THE TUESDAY NIGHT/EARLY WEDNESDAY MORNING JANUARY 29TH-30TH 2013 STORM DAMAGE EVENTS IN SOUTHERN MUHLENBERG AND NORTHERN TODD COUNTY KENTUCKY.

* EVENT TIME - TBD (APPROXIMATELY 2:00 AM CST)

* EVENT TYPE - MICROBURST

* EVENT LOCATION - BEGAN 2 MILES NORTHWEST OF CLIFTY AND ENDED 1 MILE NORTHEAST OF PENROD. BEGINNING POINT LIKELY EXTENDS FURTHER SOUTHWESTWARD AND WILL BE DETERMINED VIA ADDITIONAL SURVEYING.

* DISCUSSION/DAMAGE - HUNDREDS TO THOUSANDS OF TREES...MANY LARGE...UPROOTED. NUMEROUS BARNS LEVELED OR DAMAGED. SEVERAL HOMES AND OTHER BUILDINGS WITH ROOFS...INCLUDING DECKING...PARTIALLY REMOVED. MANY OTHERS WITH MINOR DAMAGE INCLUDING PARTIAL SHINGLE REMOVAL AND SIDING DAMAGE.
