Chinook
Why is station pressure not listed in METARs? I think it would be neat to compare station pressure, sea level pressure, and altimeter value. I think station pressure should be included as a basic measurement. aslkahuna
Actually if you go to the dcoded observations on your local NWS web site, you will see all three values listed for each observation. Steve
Chinook
I understand it's on the Denver NWS web site as a list of station pressure/SLP/Altimeter side by side. That's kind of nice But I just wonder why each METAR doesn't say something like, "SLP is 29.99 inches, Station Pressure is 24.99 inches, altimeter is 29.98 inches."
