Ian
I hate nighttime clippers, especially with no floodlight Disaster even if it snows since most of us have to sleep. DC sucks.

Yeoman
No problem. I can say for certain now, very light snow falling here. YES! Ian, time to attach the Nikon to the tripod and focus on the nearest trash can lid atwonce
Swiscaster
Lightly snowing here. (and has been for about 45 minutes) So far the only places in VA reporting snow have elevation. I hope this changes. I have been thinking maybe the forecasters have become rusty and forget that these systems don't really give us the precip the models spit out east of the mountains due to the downslope and dry airmass... WinterWxLuvr
YES! Ian, time to attach the Nikon to the tripod and focus on the nearest trash can lid atwonce At the rate it's snowing, it would take 11 years and 13 days to cover a trash can lid

It'll make it. There is lots of forcing and no major moisture to lose really. Clipper snow cares not for dry air.

Swiscaster
I recall several clippers that jumped over the Valley and ended up enhancing after/because of the Blue Ridge. It'll turn out fine. But on this trajectory? Seems like the ones that pan out are ones where the clipper has already "made the turn" and snow is coming towards DC on a ENE trajectory, whereas this one is more of a ESE or E trajectory. I will say that the few recent reports of very light snow east of the mtns are at least encouraging!
