I'm not sure why most had a lot of hope in this or don't understand why it's remaining "dry" for east of the Apps.

With as many clippers as we have had people should know they rarely rarely amount to anything east of the Apps. This is a true rain shadow effect unlike the last storm that was more of a warm shadow in the foothills.

I can recall way too my times where 2-3" were predicted from a clipper in the foothills and we woke up with a trace, if that. So I would not consider this a "fail" it's just natural for this system.

Looking forward to the opportunity to see 1-3 feet here in the mountains, lot of people going to be caught off guard up here with drifts up to their roof tops. I'm trying to warn all of my friends and family of the impeding snowpocalypse

OOOpsy, sorry..I always assume Atlanta is bigger than it is.LOL

Still applies to me as I live just across the line in Forsyth Co. and I'm guessing the kids will be sleeping in tomorrow.

Last week Forsyth county was the first county to issue a 2 hour delay and ended up with squat.  It will be interesting to see what they do this time around.

Is it just me or is FFC pulling the trigger on watches and warnings earlier this year than usual? Seems a marginal event like this would make them a little hesitant. Didn't expect a warning out of this unless it was apparent that it was due to overperform.

They seem quicker to me.  Past years it always seemed they were the last.
