DAFF Posted January 27, 2013 Share Posted January 27, 2013 With the onset of the warmth during the nightime hours the time line to icing conditions might be a little skewed. Temp breaking 32deg at 2am @DTW and temps near 40 at 8am. I'm thinking the icing conditions will last sometime into the morning and relax around 7am. Even then it might take some tiime for the accumulated ice to melt off. Im thinking this is going to be a fun night ahead. Three of my clients are open till 3am with lots of foot traffic. A mix of snow/sleet/freezing rain began at 1 PM. Switched to freezing rain around 230 PM. At 4 PM... had a build up of two tenths of an inch, 0.2, of ice on pavement and orther surfaces.
