nw baltimore wx
Probably a disturbance embedded in the ul flow creating a small area of vorticity and lift. Not gonna last long so we should enjoy our last flakes before the bathwater soaker in a few days. We needs the streets washed of salt before our real storm early next next week. mattie g
It's some upper level energy swinging through. It was evident over the southern Great Lakes yesterday evening enhancing some LES around 11pm. Thanks, das.
WinterWxLuvr
If it were to do this for a couple hours, which I'm sure it won't, we'd easily surpass yesterday.

usedtobe
Suns out here. Yesterday I got 0.50" from 0.04 liquid. Had some dendrites but also snow that looked like little mini ball, and periods with plates. Not sure how the mini snowballs form.
Bob Chill
Not sure how the mini snowballs form. Polar Plunge @ Sandy Point does a pretty good job.

RodneyS
looks like DCA got .4 again we have made 1" on the season!! Which leaves it 0.7 inches behind the 2011-12 pace. IAD, on the other hand, is running 1.7 inches ahead of that pace.

I-83 BLIZZARD
Some flurries here, 1.1 inch total on the storm. It looks like more than an inch with the fluff factor as high as it is. Made for some great sledding on the rock hard ground, felt like an olympic ice run.
Avdave
That's pretty cool. I may be the only member who posts here that lives in a town that doesn't plow or treat the roads at all for small snowfalls. There was still a thin frozen cover on the roads this morning from Wednesday morning's event, before the couple of inches that fell today. Snow seems deeper on the roads than it does in the yard. Sun angle was no factor today. Same here, we get no salt or sand thrown down in the small events, heck we are lucky to get a plow in here and when we do it is one run thru the neighborhood and then gone. EastCoast NPZ
Still flurrying, despite sun peaking through the clouds. At one point everything was covered with at least a fresh 1/4", but its melted now except in the protected areas. This despite it being only 25F outside. Let's hear it for sun angle. clskinsfan
Just got back in from sledding with my boy. Intensity has picked back up. Snowing good out here. Perfect winter day outside. .4 for the day. Probably gonna surpass yesterdays snow.
EastCoast NPZ
snow has picked up here once again, unfortuantely there's just too much IR getting through the clouds. Had this occurred in the overnight we could've got something somewhat meaningful.
