Well a south shift would at least for a day stop people from using the old they always shift north card.

Is the BAG BRIDGE really high? I would wait until a real event fails inside 72 before I would jump. Losing out on a flizzard ain't worth it. Besides you would miss the 1-3 on Friday which is a MECS by recent standards.

Theoretically, wouldn't slower be better?

Hard to say. It's all about amplification.

However, the nam is showing 2 distinct vorts. One just north of MT and another in norcal. This is probably a good thing. could be a great thing.

Edit to add visual. Same point in time vs 12z:

Can I get your reasoning on that bob?

Depends what the more s vort does downstream. We really need waa precip to break out. anything that takes away some of the ns dominance is a good thing. unless it's too good and it's congrats nc. lol

wrong thread....sorry wes, coundn't resist..lol

I thinkt he vort over NV is interesting and might be a good thing if the clipper doesn't turn the flow northwesterly too much and make it hard to back the flow.   The NV vort would argue for a little stronger southern stream low providing the NAM is not out to lunch.

who cares about out there,  the clipper looks better. If you just like seeing flakes and don't care about accumulations, it's looking pretty spiffy.

This thread is reserved for crushing weenie hopes and dreams, take your practical/realistic optimism somewhere else.. :D
