ChrisM
people who like this kind of cold are undoubtedly people who work inside or sit inside all day where it's 68F. They probably also hate the 20 second walk from the car.

WC of -15F right now. Winds are actually pretty light here. 11 here, 12 at home. Down in town at home it's still 8...valleys definitely did better out that way. Still holding at 9°. people who like this kind of cold are undoubtedly people who work inside or sit inside all day where it's 68F. They probably also hate the 20 second walk from the car. I'm one of those people and I make extra effort to spend more time outside because I know it doesn't happen that often. I know what you mean though. Some people just hunker down like it's -50° out there. It's not that cold...I wish it was better.
MJHUB
had to force the dog out this morning. within 5 min he was shivering and pushed the door open to come in.

This isn't that impressive and is just annoying to be outside in.

powderfreak
Not sure we see 0F today.... sure isn't happening up at 1,500ft and higher. We might "tickle it" here in town at 750ft. It is just a beautiful day outside, too. Looks so nice...but then you step outside.
adk
It's cold. That's about all I can say about BTV proper. Get close the the water though, out of the wind, and you feel a noticable warmth. Kinda cool. Its the opposite of nice spring days when the UVM kids (PF can attest to this) are basking in 75 degree sun. There girls are out in the two pieces, tanning and enjoying the green while those that headed down to the lake are shivering in 200 yards of breezy 55F.
