Ericjcrash
As promising as your ability to post more then 5 times a day for the rest of the winter Lol, 6z NAM is better but basically flurries/very light snow west of Riverhead.

Allsnow
Looks like a band of snow swings through this evening. Nam intensifies it as it moves east.
TWCCraig
I'll take my inch. It'll be the biggest snowfall since November anyway.
IsentropicLift
Mt. Holly calling for 1-2" out this way. I don't see how we get more than just flurries. Maybe a very light dusting.
MJO812
12z Nam has light snow for the NYC area http://mag.ncep.noaa.gov/Image.php?model=nam&area=namer¶m=sim_radar&cycle=12ℑ=nam%2F12%2Fnam_namer_009_sim_radar.gif http://mag.ncep.noaa.gov/Image.php?model=nam&area=namer¶m=sim_radar&cycle=12ℑ=nam%2F12%2Fnam_namer_015_sim_radar.gif http://mag.ncep.noaa.gov/Image.php?model=nam&area=namer¶m=850_temp_mslp_precip&cycle=12ℑ=nam%2F12%2Fnam_namer_015_850_temp_mslp_precip.gif

It gets very cold when we see the snow so ratios will be a factor but I also think we may see a heavy burst somewhere given the fact that the storm will rapidly deepen just offshore and I don't think the models will pick up on it. Maybe for Long Island but not out this way. That's why for me a 1-2" forecast out this way makes no sense. In Ramsey at work Upton is just going with less than an inch and snow showers. I'm going to make an observation thread. http://www.americanwx.com/bb/index.php/topic/38941-martin-luther-king-day-flizzard-observation-thread/
