weatherMA
Was reading the play by play in the mid Atlantic thread...beautiful. Euro is a borderline KU..nails all of I-
CooL
I'm still a bit skeptical of a full catpure phase E of MA like the Euro shows as the flow is quick, but that is how it would happen ala Jan 2005...looks quite similar in many aspect. It's very similar to that event on this run..Love how the GFS backs off and the euro goes even more aggressive.
joey2002
That would def get the monkey off Boston's back...just crushes E MA. Wow, 971 mb as it's moving away... did the storm track inside or outside the benchmark?
ORH_wxman
Wow, 971 mb as it's moving away... did the storm track inside or outside the benchmark? Inside...prob near or barely SE of ACK.

joey2002
It gives BOS near 1.4" of qpf. ORH an inch of qpf. Crazy, and it all happens in a fairly short time period?
Ji
Blizzard for a chunk of SNE...BOS prob jackpot on Euro with over a foot easy. NNE gets in on too, esp from E of CT river. 20 inches Boston. Congrats

weatherMA
It gives BOS near 1.4" of qpf. ORH an inch of qpf. 18" with ratios?
ORH_wxman
Crazy, and it all happens in a fairly short time period? It does slow down as it gets captured near ACK or just E of the Cape just destroying eastern SNE with a deformation band. So rather than a 6-8 hour storm it would prob be like a 14-18 hour storm with the eastern areas holding on the longest.
WinterLand
Man, that is just nuts. It would be the biggest snowstorm since 2005...

weatherMA
Beggers can't be choosers, but I hope this speeds up a little bit so I don't have to pull an all nighter Friday. But I won't complain about a foot of snow.
ORH_wxman
The hard part about getting a run like this 108 hours out is everyone will now compare the results to this run....don't expect something this good right now. This is about as good as it gets for SNE...esp the eastern areas and BOS metro. This is the upper bound in this system...we will see runs a lot worse than this and the final solution is unlikely to be this good, so keep that in mind. ORH_wxman
Sorry to intrude but can someone tell me the timeline of this storm as far as effecting the mid Atlantic area? Looks like on the Euro it moves in around lunch time there on Friday...then done by mid to late evening. Timing differences have been around on the models, so obviously don't take it hook, line, and sinker.
