free_man
GFS blows. Front passes through harmlessly, the clipper type system behind it is suppressed rubbish, then we wait until day 8 to have another system develop too late. By the time we get to 2/3 the GFS looks like the pattern 2-3 days ago with a weak low running along the Canadian US border and moisture trying to build in the lower MS Valley. Once it drops out on the other side of the resolution drop it's a clipper type right across New England. So maybe in 10 days things get more interesting. Winter of 100 pairs of socks. This sucks. 0z GFS meltdown complete. Hoping for something better in the days ahead and will enjoy whatever falls Monday. 0z GGEM is a lot better. It develops the followup system on the 1st, puts it just offshore of us by the 2nd, and develops a few more later. So...let's hope the GFS is just struggling. The op gfs would be nice if it were , say May, shifted northward 200mi naturally...svr weenies would be prancing That's not good.

H2Otown_WX
D6 00z Euro looking eerily similar to this past week with a wave developing along the front which of course is draped too far off-shore.

Clinch Leatherwood
The next week could be tough just hang in there. Late gfs looked like a weaker ggem from a few days ago. It will attempt to come together for the 1st 2nd Ski time
Damage In Tolland
LOL..I wonder who Ryan directed this at in his blog? Those in the hills who are clinging to snowpack will watch it melt under a snow-eating, foggy, high dew point, southerly zephyr.

I had snow flurries in my forecast from last night on Friday for that offshore storm. Hoping the models start to tuck it in closer.

ORH_wxman
There's some legit shots coming up....we'll just have to hope to hit on one of them instead of rolling snake eyes every time. The Feb 5-6 threat actually looks like it has some juice to it. The other threats before that might be a bit moisture starved...but still worth following. weathafella
The double mini events this week have kept a tiny amt of snow otg here. Meanwhile, I went into the woods with the dog and naturally, since it was last freezing here a week ago all the waterways are frozen. Except for 2 small shallow ponds near the street that bisects the woods I let the doggy run in. I don't want to think about what's in those ponds.......
