rduwx
I have gone back to a sleet here in Cary. Radar is starting to look a lot better though.
strongwxnc
His 850 temps sure are . Man did the 850 crash fast around here ! That’s not suprising at all if you take a glance at the latest mesoanalysis. Your 850 temp is colder than anywhere in NC right now... and you 925 temp isn’t too shabby either. Good luck! packbacker
I have gone back to a sleet here in Cary. Radar is starting to look a lot better though. This is what RAH just said...this will be about 20 miles NW of me WITH THE MAIN SNOW BAND LIKELYSETTING UP FROM ALAMANCE/ORANGE NE THROUGH THE NORTHERN PIEDMONTINTO THE FAR NORTHERN COASTAL PLAIN. SNOWFALL RATES 1-2 INCHES IN ANHOUR WILL OCCUR.

WidreMann
Snow is coming down, but it never seems to really accumulate much more than it already has. It would really be nice if temps dropped below freezing, but I don't think that's going to happen. I'm growing concerned about these reports of snow changing to rain across the state. What's up with that?
sugaree
Light snow in Gibsonville. It has really let up over the last 10 minutes agreed.. not coming down like it was an hour ago in Whitsett. Much of what was covered is melting. Starting to worry a bit
Dunkman
Heavy snow turned to mostly rain. You keep it in Statesville we don't want any of that noise in the Triad.
Ernest T Bass
That should be the real NC state motto lol. It was a real downer. Took the boys outside to play a bit. We were enjoying it, and bam - it is raining. Oh well, we did better than a lot of folks. No complaints.

packbacker
You can see where the band is setting up, once it does it should fire NE, I am right on the edge of it being almost in Chatham county and Cary/RDU will be close...
WxKnurd
Just plain rain still here. As if to chide me, there are frogs croaking in the retention pond across the street and down by the river. I think I'll blame this on being too close to the water
SBUWX23
Actually, its blossoming is a better word in eastern Chatham and westerm Wake county.

packbacker
you can already see it pivoting into wake county. Yeah, it's going to be close, this could setup where the SE edge is running right through RDU, 10 miles is going to be the difference between a dusting and 3".
