superjames1992
Heavy rain and wind still, as we've had for hours here. I expect the changeover within an hour or two at most.
Kilgore Trout
3.5 inches and still hammering. Temp down to 29 degrees. Congrats 85!, We are sssssooooo close. 34.1° with sleet. Wind is picking up, hopefully mixing some more cold air down. Should be within the hour, although I hope the radar returns start to get better. kvegas-wx
Despite what may or may not fall in the form of white objects, this is really one hell of a storm! If you can get over the potential weenie disappointment, the dynamics of this thing are simply awesome.

WhiteoutWX
Seems like the transition has stalled its progression momentarily. Will have to see what the deformation band can do. If it still hasn't progressed much in the next hour or so, those in the Piedmont should be a little worried. Changeover in CLT was forecast around 8 pm. kvegas-wx
wifey just reported some flakage mixing in on Hwy 158 between winston and walkertown. She hates the weather, so if she called me to tell me, I believe her!

Given the radar backfilling and that band heading east that Panovich pointed out this is still in the realm of possibility.

Disc
Maybe getting raked by this thing was not a good thing. Lost power for several minutes, but came back. I would not be surprised if it goes again. Trees and limbs everywhere. Can't believe I'm saying this, but I'm ready for it to end.
WxKnurd
Tiny flakes mixing in here, surprised me when I turned on the back porch light. Had to make the wife come look to verify.
Jalba
Ah neat little feature on the radar. If you look at the KGSP radar loop from the last few mins, Right over Donalds, SC in Abbeville county you can see a small little rotation in the reflectivity loop. Just thought that was interesting, and almost seems how this will continue to play out.

NCSNOW
Heavy rain and wind still, as we've had for hours here. I expect the changeover within an hour or two at most. Radar looks just like it should at this point. The change is forecasted between 7 to 9. Thankfully wilkes has changed over he should be first then frosty power stroke Winston then you then me hopefully. By 8 if that progression hasn't started to unfold I will begin to start worrying.
