I got more out of that event than this one. This one's snowfall rates were much more impressive, but the snow was so wet it really compacted. (too bad it wasn't fresh powder) I got around 5-6'' out this event. Around 8" for the Feb. 2012 event.

Just back Kev off the ledge if he still thinks he's seeing a flake of snow tonight.

Ji doesn't even post all that much anymore and seems to have mellowed a bit in his most trollish tendencies. I still don't know how you all deal with someone who posts the *exact* *same* *thing* like 100 times a day.

Western areas comparable. LYH is a mess- North and west of LYH got shafted by the band-- nothing or very little. I have 3.5 or so, places south and east have 4-5 now.

Blacksburg average 25.4" and in 62 yrs of record they have only had 3 seasons with <6"....maybe VA tech isnt a bad place to go to school, especially with the big elevation so close

My sister and wife went there. They have many snow memories

A few pics, I am not a great photographer and certainly not the comedian Midlo is. The Ji "written" in the snow might be the post of the year...in January.

i think another sign that this would probably fail was just the wild model swing north <48 hours ago when it wasnt really close at all before...it was just too much ground to make up without a vastly different scenario like a phase or a bombing low

It's not uncommon for models to show major last minute shifts north. We should know more than anyone
