CT Rain
3.5" from the Bridgeport coop this morning... seasonal total of 19.7" there! If you want to know how badly BOS has been screwed this year just look at how BDR is doing.
snowman21
About an inch of snow/sleet mix here. Surprised we got anything considering this started as rain. At least driving to work was easy.

weathafella
Boston folks, looks like a tiny weenie band will move through in about 20 minutes. May push another 1/2 inch out.
HIPPYVALLEY
A little over 4". Would love to eek out another inch but that back edge is hauling a$$ towards W. MA. Just watched a sander(?!?) go by on our as of yet unplowed street.
Mr Torchey
bdr has the same as shelton? For years they undermeasured and all of the sudden this year they are overmeasuring.
weatherMA
The snow coming here reminds me of what I was depressed about in 12/29 lol...nice 1-1.5/hour rates...SN. Logan is at 2.4 so far so best storm of the year officially for BOS. They should make it to 7" for the year after this storm. I should be about 24". One cool thing about this snow and sleet so wet, driving through town it looks like we got a 4 inch snowfall, plow banks are huge
weatherMA
Lol...clawing to the promised land of a double digit year..... Hey, only 2" or so shy of last year after this storm! Interestingly, same for me actually. I had 27" last year and should be between 24" and 25" after this storm.

One cool thing about this snow and sleet so wet, driving through town it looks like we got a 4 inch snowfall, plow banks are huge Yeah it almost seems like this morning's sleet came in from the NW in a weird way. Watching on dual pol (take a look at that image I posted a couple hours ago) you could see HVN still ripping while it was pinging to the NW in the Valley. weathafella
And the weenie band is arriving as intensity is increasing again with very nice snow growth it would seem based on the flakes.
weatherMA
Mixed precip reports on the cape...seems like it verified cooler in SE mass at least. Ripping huge flakes right now...this stuff piles up quickly, too bad it wont last more then 30 minutes.
snowman21
I'm surprised you did so poorly and BDR did so well. I guess a little latitude helped with that warm layer around 800mb. We lost a bit of precip to the rain at the onset, and I would guess it was mostly snow around 2-3 in the morning, and by 6 it was mostly liquid again, so maybe there was more that compacted/melted. I see there is a report out of Old Greenwich with 1 inch, that's the other side of town, but also on the water, so fairly consistent with what I had. Mr Torchey
Well I measured 1.4 but obviously lots of compaction since I woke up late, and did not measure correctly, nice little even, lets get Fridays event west or at least an IVT to deliver some snows.
