Typhoon Tip
This thread is amazing. Kind of reminds me of Escape From New York - ha. They took all the criminals and turned the city into a one giant penitentiary Only here they dumped all the rabble rousers into a thread, and just walked away and let it evolve under it own spontaneously emerging interpretation without paying any attention. Clinch Leatherwood
the over under on messenger posts between now and 8am..is....what.... 127 0/U ? and i really do enjoy almost all of them, this is what the board is for, and finally there is an event on the cape where they are the focus, i hope they can sneak a 4-6 inch fluff fest over a few hours. Break time for me, nothing to see for some time. Never doubt the OP Euro is the lesson here. GFS has measurable over most of SNE.

Tropopause_Fold
there's basically no meteorological mechanism outside of some very modest PVA to get precip over SNE. really there's barely any even to get some onto the Cape. the shield can expand some as the system starts to come under the influence of the upper air jet N of NE. it's not a good signal when your entire column maintains W flow outside of the bottom 1 to 2km. Clinch Leatherwood
Ok. Enjoy Have you noticed how much these guys go wild when something trends in a direction they've poo poo'd for days? And the bar keeps being raised. there's basically no meteorological mechanism outside of some very modest PVA to get precip over SNE. really there's barely any even to get some onto the Cape. the shield can expand some as the system starts to come under the influence of the upper air jet N of NE. it's not a good signal when your entire column maintains W or NW flow outside of the bottom 1 to 2km. Is that based on the later GFS and 12z Euro? That'd be one big concern.

Tropopause_Fold
i'll be content with my 2 or 3"...anything above that will be a bonus probably aided by some enhancement off Mass Bay and just be absolute fluff (that'll probably sublimate away during the day tomorrow.) I bet 2-4" for you. 1-3" here for now. I think that's reasonable with a redo at 0z.

N. OF PIKE
lolz awesome stuff here. quick jab and messenger is taking a break for a snack. that weathertap radar is weenie fodder. i guess the euro is the leader. lets take a peek at 0z tonite and then c if it can bring .25 to bos. 4 to pym .5 thru cape. i don't care how it does it....northern stream late game heroics
CT Rain
Looks like most of us are shoveling tomorrow. Amazing turn of events this afternoon Have you been drinking? Do you honestly expect 1-3 for Tolland? I could see a coating to an inch best case scenario in New London County but that's about the extent of it. I think that's reasonable with a redo at 0z. if the euro has .4 for most of cape at 0z it's time to adjust those amounts a bit higher. i think other models are playing catch up wrt n. stream vort handling. could be wide spread 4-5 inch snows on cape tonite with 1-2 regionwide over CT /RI E MA as the rev mentioned. I have a hard time believing its not going to snow some tonight based on the Euro suite getting snow into NY state. I think the northern piece of energy is strong enough to pull some of that southern stream north over us. Maybe I'm crazy but that's my thinking
Mr Torchey
Euro spits out .22 gfs a little less, I would take an inch of snow and jump for joy, I mean its snow and would refresh what was lost today. Strange attitude in here.

Mr Torchey
I would think that people would be stoked that the best model in the world gives us all a little snow, and measurable at that, and that now the gfs has come north and west.?? No snowstorm but heck even if its a dusting to coating that would be nice, then again it could be 4-8 hours of heavy virga , regardless its fun to watch this all play out, and the seasonal trend certainly could not hurt.
