wxeyeNH
Important game Sunday early evening. Arctic frontal passage maybe going through Foxboro about that time. Thought I would start at thread as to game weather. Timing and strength of front? Windex? Possible wave along the front? Thoughts?

tamarack
GFS, at least, also looks windy, which usually favors the short-midrange passing game above the long bombers, and Flacco might be the NFL's best with the long pass. If his marvelous pass to Jones were thrown toward the open end of Gillette on a real windy day, it might've come down between the hashmarks. Ginx snewx
Folks tailgating in the upper 30s throwing back the sausages and beers, going shirtless, tank tops, go to the game by 8 they are frozen stiff with winds gusting in the 30's with temps dropping through the 20s. tamarack
That front and wind have been pretty consistent on the models for several days, arriving midgame. My Pats homerness sees it blowing around Flacco's long bombs (he's probably best-in-league with those) and not so much for Brady's short game. Edit: Baltimore went out to Denver and won in 10 degree weather... And winds about 10 mph. I'm hoping for something like week 17, when the "Phins kicker sent a figgie attempt that began headed outside the right goalpost and missed wide left. Guvna
Baltimore went out to Denver and won in 10 degree weather... You got that wrong. Baltimore went out to Denver and Denver handed them the game in 10° weather.

weatherwiz
The winds are really going to make this tough for kickers and perhaps the long passing game as well.
