moneypitmike
6 z GFS NAM and Euro all on board 4-6 inland CT Congrats! Might be fringed here on the (wait for it...........wait for it..............) qpf. I think the EC had me in a 1-3" deal with the 12z run. Hopefully the wetter 00z shared the wealth a bit. But, looks like solid advisory pending the 12z runs. 28.5/
powderfreak
6 z GFS NAM and Euro all on board 4-6 inland CT Yeah...quick glance at stuff at the office this morning makes me think a lot of you SNE'ers are in for a respectable 3-6" advisory event. moneypitmike
Outside of areas with coastal p-type issues....my first and final call is 4-6 in CT/MA/RI below the pike (particularly inside 495 below the Pike) 3-5 for the rest of us with the higher end as go south and east. Here's to hoping for good ratios!

moneypitmike
While I've been buried in looking at tomorrow's event, I just saw this in BOX's AFD regarding Thursday. hmmmmmmmmmmmmm A SURFACE LOW WILL MOVE ACROSS SOUTHERN CANADA ON THURSDAY...DRAGGING A WEAK COLD FRONT BEHIND IT. HAVE INCREASED THE POSSIBILITY OF SOME SNOW SHOWERS FOR THE NW ZONES AS THERE APPEARS TO BE GOOD LIFT AND HIGHER TO DEWPOINTS AHEAD OF THE FRONT...ALTHOUGH WE ARE LACKING THE ADEQUATE MOISTURE. ALSO SOME INSTABILITY ASSOCIATED WITH THIS FRONT..WHICH MAY ALLOW OF ACCUMULATING SNOW...LOW CONFIDENCE AT THIS TIME

Damage In Tolland
Well. tossing the GFS was certainly the right idea. Hopefully a lesson learned for future events. 3-6 with lollis to 7 or 8 all of interior SNE. I still think Scooter gets snow.. 2-4 there
Damage In Tolland
I just didn't get why there were posts about the north trend not stopping. There's times that rule works when you have a deep wound up system..not a progressive positive tilt open wave.
powderfreak
yep pretty much all agree, have a skitastic day, did the village lose all its snow? Nope...got 4.5-5" of absolute concrete at 750ft in the valley bottom still. Picked up a tenth of an inch last night in flurries so its a tiny bit whiter looking haha. That fluff had some staying power in this torch...went from 12" to a hair under 5" that is currently able to support my 6'3" 200 pound frame haha. Damage In Tolland
24-48 hours when it was only grazing the south coast, you were banging the its coming north drum...now that it has done so, you think its going to tickle SE? Huh? I was about the only one since last week thinking this was going to happen. A lot of folks were saying it was squished/suppressed whatever you want to call it,, when there was no support for that. We don't have arctic air or blocking in place yet, and when you see a front stall to your south you always expect waves to ride along it...and with no block..it made sense the waves would work north..but only so far. It's different than some coastal with no blocking. That's how what looks like snow down here..ends up rain while you make nude frontal angels at the snow stake when noones around

moneypitmike
I've never looked at that plumes page until now so I can't make any comparisons to prior runs. But it's showing some nice amounts for AQW with the mean over .4". Skewed by some seemingly crazy outliers, but there's a significant clustering over .5". Think that's a bit high this far north.
