Clinch Leatherwood
NAM insisting on this obscenely slow solution. Notice for a bit around 24 hours it was toying with the energy the other models leave separate over the deep south. Either it's onto something, or it's out to lunch. TalcottWx
Lol...wish I could wait a little longer. Right now I'd say an inch or less for Logan, but a couple for you. what a joke
Clinch Leatherwood
It's so much different than even the 12z run in how it handles the SW energy. Instead of holding it back it's letting it move east a bit more which along with the northern s/w shooting SE being so much slower...everything is delayed again. Max
its unfortunate that even at this time frame, i'm not comfortable using the nam So should we even discredit the upper levels being colder on this run as well? Well colder through 36hr at least.
Ginx snewx
NAM is cold, odd how this has switched. GFS now the warmer model. Folks have been posting this week about its cold bias and posting links to data that says so.

Folks have been posting this week about its cold bias and posting links to data that says so. GFS has a long range cold bias, I thought generally it was the warmer model in the short term? NAM gives southern ski country nice refresher snows and the timing on the 3rd system is interesting now too JMHO
Max
The 0z Nam is actually colder in the upper levels through 42 hours for N. CT. So even though more precip and further north, seems to not matter right now, but it is the Nam.

Lets see what the rest of the suite says. 925 and 850 temps plenty cold enough outside of the south coast and cape.
