wxsniss
Jerry - there was an epic mini-blizzard that crushed Boston....I remember you and hooralph/Jeff did play-by-play for it....I believe it was a WINDEX event. Hooralph posted some incredible pics, it hit I think on a Friday during the evening rush causing all kinds of traffic havoc, and I can't remember if it was 2005 or 2007. Do you or anyone else remember this? If so, will this event be like that? 12/13/
N. OF PIKE
I think for bos a more syoptically driven event would be good news. But then if it was synoptically driven I would think euro would have more than .08 inches qpf.

weatherMA
16z RAP I looked at from WeatherBell only had 3-5" for eastern Mass. and Cape (accumulated snowfall) and a max of 5.5 over southern Maine. (Snowfall through 10z Tue) Okay, my bad. This looked like more then 3-5 to me.
HoarfrostHubb
Technichally we are SNE but fair enough we really aren't the core location of this forum. -skisheep Blizz has CT divided up into 27.5 different zones. Tolland Massif gets the most snow, warmest summers
CT Rain
It's going to take a while to saturate the boundary layer. Pretty dry near the ground.

JamieOber
There was the Dec 2007 (13th?) that destroyed traffic in the metro Boston area. Gridlock with some people being in cars for 8+ hours That one? 12/13/07 YES! Thanks, that's the one. Now I remember it had to be because someone posted a pic of a Christmas tree in one of Boston's historic parks covered in snow. Maybe you will get a repeat out of this one. Zeus
I think for bos a more syoptically driven event would be good news. But then if it was synoptically driven I would think euro would have more than .08 inches qpf. It would be good news, but I don't see it being synoptic for the whole time. The simulated radar on the last few runs of the NAM is a good indicator that a broader, lighter swath of precip will move in over all of SNE but pretty rapidly give way to smaller, more localized but more intense features. Getting in on both could make somebody very happy.
