What's the word on the RGEM?

I'm pretty bullish that NW Mass will eek out at least 2, but looks like the fun will really be in the NE areas into York.

I remember back in '93 (?) driving from my home in Stamford, CT to my brother's house in York in what might have been a NORLUN event.  It was pre-internet days so I had no clue about a storm. I remember flakes starting as I crossed the Piscataqua and immediately went into intense snows.  Picked up about 10" at my brother's in about eight hours, IIRC. I hope the jackpot winners can experience similar tonight!

Lol....nearly 4 hours from now.

Aww, c'mon. Hints of thundersnow potential and you're not a little piqued?

Disclaimer: I am kind of panicked that we only see the initial bit move through and the band-type stuff whiffs on us completely. But if the 12z GFS is onto anything with a more widespread precip solution, then I'm not as concerned. We'll know more at 18z and as the radar begins to fill in... but for now I'm still keeping one eyebrow quite raised.

Same general idea with the 2 max zones.

I'm interested but I expect a general light snow for us but who knows?
