Clinch Leatherwood
I'll be happy with a dusting to a few inches. It's all I expect, regardless of what the nam SREF or rpm has shown. If OES played out much different ballgame
FSUIZZY
Early today I was at 4-8 inches now I am at 2-4 if that, I'm guessing the NAM and GFS shaked things up a bit?

BostonWX
You were never at those lofty numbers. NWS BOX has 4-8 inches... I'm expecting an inch or two here so I'm not dissapointed
N. OF PIKE
I expect to get screwd by banding where I am to the ne. And ill take 2-3 and run. But I have a shot at more where I am. This will prob be a Nowcast event. I'd like to see meso's tonite shift s with qpf bullseye but they could hone in on se nh sw maine.

CoastalWx
BOX has WSW for the chance of 4-8. I would not expect such a widespread area of that.

CoastalWx
Yeah in the WSW It's misleading because that's more for potential while the official snow map looks different. I know weenies only stick to the highest snowfall projections but we've stressed not to get hung up over this producing siggy snows. It will for a small area, but chances are 90% of people won't see that.
FSUIZZY
Yeah in the WSW A lot of disappointed Bostonian's have the rugged pulled out from underneath them again.

CT Rain
BOX has WSW for the chance of 4-8. I would not expect such a widespread area of that. Here's what makes absolutely no sense is that if you read the text product there's no mention of a narrow band or forecast uncertainty. Just a deterministic forecast of 4-8 inches. FSUIZZY
LOL again, not if you listened to us. I did, but they watch the local newscasters or wishcasters I only expected maybe 1-2. My dreams are on Friday. Anything else that happens is gravy.

dryslot
That is why you keep expectations low in this type of event if it does not pan out, NBD

powderfreak
Very odd to see a Winter Storm Watch out and then a zone forecast for 1-3" (such as Suffolk County)... forecast just says snow showers likely and 1-3", yet Winter Storm Watch. Don't see that too often.
