wxsniss
Also, I think we are seeing both an inverted trough/norlun as well as some sort of meso low traversing the area. I know this was pointed out earlier, but a nice visual depiction of this on 6z Nam... Looks like a meso low embedded in the line of convergence:
HoarfrostHubb
I wonder if the highest totals will be Cape Anne or Cape Cod? Maybe even SNH coast?
moneypitmike
I wonder if the highest totals will be Cape Anne or Cape Cod? Maybe even SNH coast? It seems so often the Norlun axis can slam SE NH and York County Maine. Suppose it won't take much movement to suddenly get those areas in the crosshairs. From a Mass standpoint, I'd be watching closely for the North shore. I'll be psyched if GC can eek out 2". I'm shocked that BOX would have this area in a 2-4". I guess if the ratios are great, I suppose its feasible. But, there's more to ratios than just temps and I would think we'd be away from good snow growth areas to really get outstanding ratios out here. dendrite
I wonder if the highest totals will be Cape Anne or Cape Cod? Maybe even SNH coast? I think we still need until 00z tonight to get a better idea of the general area where the sfc convergence zone sets up, but to some extent it will be a nowcast event. It's like forecasting thunderstorms...you pinpoint an area, but you can't really pinpoint which town will get hit hardest.
CT Rain
The Euro is still a concern IMO. Nice to see everything else held serve overnight, however.

ORH_wxman
That's a really impressive 8"+ prob maps for E MA. I'd like to see the Euro jump on board...though in inverted troughs, the Euro rarely gets bullish like the other meso models.
